Abstract
1. 1. Biotin-cellulose has been synthesized by converting biotin with thionyl chloride to biotin acid chloride and esterifying the later in pyridine to cellulose. 2. 2. Avidin has been specifically purified by chromatography over biotin-cellulose using a linear gradient from high to low concentration of ammonium carbonate.
