Abstract
Electrophoretic analyses were used to examine changes in the haemolymph proteins throughout the periods of pre-diapause, diapause, and after diapause in adults of the leaf beetle, Gastrophysa atrocyanea. A specific protein appeared at diapause initiation and disappeared at the end of diapause. The apparent mol. wt of this protein was 220 kDa and it was a glycoprotein.
