Abstract

The Ginzburg–Landau equations have been solved numerically for Pb–Sn and Nb–Zr multilayer systems. The calculated specific heats as a function of temperature are found to be in good agreement with experiment. In particular, the proximity-effect broadened Sn transition near T=3K in the Pb–Sn systems is well reproduced by the calculations.
