Abstract

Purpose of Article. The goal of article is to find out specific features of composer’s interpretations in trilogy of Shan Dei’s vocal ballads after Sin’s prose. Methodology. The research is based on method of comparative analysis, determined by task to find out specific characteristics of composer’s interpretation of literary composition. The author also uses method of analysis of genres and styles. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelties of research are consideration of genre specific features of Shan Dei’s vocal ballads after Sin’s prose; interpretation of literary original text in music-word composition. The existence of two phases means leading part of composer’s interpretation of composition before its republishing. Sin’s stories are wrapped into miniatures by Sho Un Chao. They save memory of monument icon during deactualization of fibulas basis. The unity of two subjects appears. They are a writer and a composer. The unity of vocal circle (called Lu Sin and his heroes) is proved by its ballads which are characterized by features of portraits and plot lines too. The first two ballads are compositions after Sin stories and last one is anthem for writer. The author exchanges main characters with famous writer. The madness, represented in a hidden way in music portrait of comes true in ballad, which presents character of Ai-Cew and attends culmination. In final scene, Sin plays role of fighter against craziness of society. The ballads are united by topic of the hero and people around him – form fatal indifference until death of main character of first ballad. Showing aggressive behavior of crowd in second ballad, Shan Dei describes adoration of Sin as national soul of China. Conclusions. Shan Dei’s vocal ballads have such specific features as an opera, theatrical character, out-traditional approach to semantics, art interpretation of philosophical conception of silent beauty in ballad Hian Lin, comic context of in Ai-Cew, anthem motives in Oh, Sin!.
