Abstract

Suspension copolymerization of vinyl chloride with methyl methacrylate was studied. The process is characterized by a pseudo-gel effect manifested as a sharp increase in the reaction rate after exhaustion of methyl methacrylate. The influence exerted by the monomer addition procedure on how the copolymer composition varies in the course of polymerization was examined.
