Abstract

The processes of formation of (0001)BaFe12O19 films on sapphire with the ferromagnetic easy axis directed along the normal to the substrate have been investigated. Propagation of a high-energy electron beam upon interaction with a (0001)BaFe12O19 film has been studied depending on the angle of incidence of the beam. Deviation of the grazing electron beam by the magnetic field of the (0001)BaFe12O19 film is demonstrated. It is shown that the presence of the (0001)BaFe12O19 film on sapphire induces redistribution of cathodoluminescence in it with a dominant red shift. No film-induced radiation has been observed in the experiment.
