Abstract

Dealing with multiple antennas in various wireless devices has raised a distress of health effect. Thus, the investigation towards the relations between the electromagnetic field (EMF) radiation and human health is significant to be discovered. Hence, this paper presents the specific absorption rate (SAR) investigation on a single and 1 × 2 array of microstrip patch antenna operated at 0.8, 0.85, 0.9, 1.9, 2.1 and 2.6 GHz. The antenna is implemented close to specific anthropomorphic mannequin (SAM) human head model that fixed at 10 mm distance and 0.19 W for both single and 1 × 2 array tools in CST Microwave Studio 2016. The SAR performance for both; single and multiple antennas satisfied the standard limit established for all designated frequencies at averaged 1g and 10g mass of tissues.
