Abstract

Three new species of Tabanus are described from Chile: T. penai ♂♀ and T. (Neotabanus) xerodes ♀ from Tarapaca Province, and T. monotaxis ♀ from Antofagasta Province. Relationships to T. xanthogaster Philippi, the type of which was recently discovered in Santiago, are discussed and a key is provided.
