Abstract

Speciation of [ZrClx(OH).y(H2O)z]q by electrochemical measurements. Speciation of zirconium complexes is important for liquid-liquid extraction of the metal. Spectrophotometry cannot be used as speciation method because d0-complexes form in an aqueous solution, and therefore the use of a chloride selective electrode is tested by firstly applying it to iron(III) chloride speciation, which is known.
