Specialty skills in plastic surgery

Abstract

Plastic surgery is a varied and stimulating specialty, but unfortunately exposure to plastics as either an undergraduate or a foundation doctor is sometimes limited. As a result, young trainees may not have had the opportunity to develop relevant skills and explore the specialty. This is a two day course covering a broad range of skills important in plastic surgery. Its title was recently changed from “Core skills in plastic surgery,” though the course structure has not been altered.
