One of Marathon Oil's floating storage and offloading (FSO) vessels, operating off the West Coast of Africa, recently suffered a leak on a critical vertical pump used for the transfer of sweet crude oil. Facing prohibitively expensive downtime the company called in Metalock Engineering to see if they could affect a repair.
