Abstract

Campus‐wide information systems (CWIS) can be considered the microeconomic approach to information sharing on a campus while the Internet, and its array of databases and services, is the macroeconomic approach. The campus is ideal for the intersection of microeconomic and macroeconomic theory, and also the natural intellectual and technological environment for an intersection of a range of information services.
