Abstract

A STUDY Group on Special Librarianship is being arranged by the Association of Special Libraries and! Information Bureaux and will be held at the Library Association, Chaucer House, Malet Place, W.C.I, during April 13–17. The general theme will be "The Compilation of Information in Special Libraries", and the course is designed to help students who have recently started work in such libraries. The programme includes visits to special libraries in London, and lectures by Mr. B. Fullman, information officer of the British Non-Ferrous Metals Research Association ; Mr. H. S. Hyland, of the House of Commons Library ; Miss A. M. Goodwin, Economic Information Unit of the Treasury ; and Dr. W. E. Batten, of I.C.I., Ltd., Plastics Division.
