Abstract

The new technological and economic environment along with the increasing demand for reliable communication services have necessitated broadband access to information anywhere at anytime. The current telecommunications environment, where multiple access technologies and standards are deployed, and the increased users mobility give rise to new challenges and opportunities for research and development of ubiquitous computing via wireless and mobile equipment.
