Abstract

The special spectral features of valence neutron hole deficient (N=74, 76, 78) 128-132Xe isotopes are studied, with respect to the shape phase changes with N. Besides the study of the excited 02+, 03+ states, vis-a-vis the critical point symmetry E(5), the study of the ground band and K=π2+γ-vibrational band provides a wholesome view of the nuclear structure of these isotopes. An in-depth analysis of the spectral features is presented. Comparison is made with the Interacting boson model-1 predictions.
