Abstract

The generalization and application of computer technology are not widely concerned with the education of people with disabilities. In order to enable these people to work as part of the production team in society and to increase their learning efficiency through watching or listening, some kind of special equipment should be designed for them to adapt to the current development of information technology. In this paper, we present some of our research, which has the potential to provide such special Computer Aided Education (CAE) technology using multimedia. An example of a specially designed voice assistant system for blind people is presented in the following sections. Some applied technologies and ideas for the extension of this system are also outlined. Finally, the further development of this kind of technologies is also discussed.
