Abstract

Taking 108 cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt as research objects, SBM-Undesirable model and coupling coordination degree model were used to calculate the coordination degree between ecological efficiency and industrial structure upgrading in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2007 to 2017, and their temporal and spatial evolution was analyzed. Dynamic spatial Dubin model was used to analyze the driving factors of spatial and temporal evolution of coordination degree. The results show that: The coordination degree between ecological efficiency and industrial structure upgrading in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is mainly between moderate imbalance and primary coordination, and the cities with higher coordination level form a “T”-shaped distribution pattern extending from coastal cities in downstream areas to inland areas. The coordination degree has obvious path dependence, and the spatial spillover effect is significant. Increasing the coordination degree of neighboring cities will improve the coordination degree of this city. Increasing population density, optimizing system quality, increasing foreign investment, strengthening environmental regulation and technological progress are all conducive to the increase of coordination degree, while increasing foreign investment and strengthening environmental regulation in neighboring cities will lead to the decrease of coordination degree in this city.
