Abstract

In order to accurately detect the dust concentration in the open space, this paper designed a dust concentration sensor based on the ring electrode of the electrostatic induction method. According to the size of the fan and the maintenance needs of cleaning in the pipeline, the inner diameter of the ring electrode was designed to be 40mm. The high-fidelity three-dimensional finite element model of the ring-shaped detection electrode was established by COMSOL software, and the electrostatic field distribution in the ring-shaped electrode was simulated. The spatial sensitivity of the ring electrodes was calculated under the condition of different length and thickness of the ring electrode. By analyzing the distribution of the spatial sensitivity of the ring electrode, the length of the ring electrode was designed to be 40mm and the thickness was designed to be 2mm, which ensure that the axial spatial sensitivity of the ring electrode is relatively large and the radial spatial sensitivity is relatively uniform. This research result provided a reference for the structural design of the ring electrode.
