Abstract

The spatial frequency light intensity modulations in the proximity behind a grating are strongly dependent on the wavelength if suitable phase gratings are used. This effect can be utilized for the simultaneous spatial frequency colour encoding of the blue, red, and green parts of the illuminating light with different spatial frequencies.
