Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify the spatial diversification of the size and condition of the municipal dwelling stock in Poland. The study used the data which referred to voivodship and year 2015, and which came from the GUS publication Housing Economy in 2015. The paper identifies the potential of the municipal dwelling stock using Hellwig’s development measure. In context of the adopted criterion a linear ordering of Polish voivodships and typological groups of objects hasbeen made. There spatial diversification of voivodships in terms of the municipal dwelling stock potential was observed. The value of the measure reflecting the size and condition of the municipal dwelling stock is low in Polish voivodships. The most numerous class of voivodships (50%) is the middle class of the studied phenomenon.
