Abstract

Operating conditions suitable for the separation of helium and hydrogen using 5 A molecular sieves or activated carbon columns, are described. According to the length of the column separation is complete with these two adsorbents at the ambient temperature or at −80°. With argon as carrier gas, it is possible to determine 0.1 mm3 N.T.P. of each gas with an accuracy of about 5%.
