Abstract
The spallation of iron with 24 GeV protons has been studied using radiochemical techniques. Formation cross-sections are reported for 24 nuclides with half-lives ranging from a few hours to a few years. The spallation systematics and the excitation functions are discussed in relation to cosmic-ray induced transformations.
