Abstract

The space-time (ST) trellis code for 2P4PSK orthogonal plane sequence modulation (OPSM) signals is presented when the number of receiver antennas is large. The simulation results shows that the ST codes obtained from the maximising minimum squared Euclidean distance criterion search algorithm achieve a recognisable coding gain (i.e. 1–2 dB) over the codes of Choe , where the coding gain increases for the case of two or more receiver antennas.
