Abstract
The problem of what longitudinal distances dominate in the process of virtual photon and neutrino scattering on nucleons is considered. On the basis of the experimental data on the electroproduction and scattering of neutrino on nucleons, the conclusion on the dominant role of large longitudinal distances linearly increasing with the energy, is made. Asymptotic behaviour of the electroproduction cross section at ν → ∞ and q 2/ ν = Const. is discussed proceeding from the space-time picture of the scattering.
