Abstract
Coherent detection of signals transmitted over a slow Rayleigh fading channel with additive white Gaussian noise with interference is considered. A simulation technique for evaluating the degradation in performance due to the cochannel in interference and adjacent channel interference over Rayleigh fading channels is introduced and the improvement in performance that can be obtained by using space diversity with different numbers of branches. The use of maximum ratio diversity combiner as an alternative to improve the error probability is also considered using a modified Monte Carlo simulation technique. >
