Abstract

AbstractStandard Soxlet extraction glassware was used as plant containers for nutrient culture experiments. The thimble reservoir served as the root chamber. Fresh nutrient solution was continuously exchanged in the root growth chamber by a self‐pumping technique utilizing air injected into the bulk solution for lifting the newly aerated solution to the root growth chamber.
