Abstract
ABSTRACT Developmental pathways play an important role in cancer. We have recently demonstrated that the constitutive activation of the developmental transcription factor SOX6 via the fusion oncoprotein EWSR1-FLI1 (Ewing sarcoma breakpoint region 1 – Friend leukemia virus integration 1) contributes to the aggressive phenotype of Ewing sarcoma but on another hand provides an opportunity for targeted therapy.
