Abstract

The ‘Basic guidelines for economic, and social development of the USSR for 1981–5 and for the period up to 1990’, in the section ‘Development of foreign economic ties’ sets the task of continuing the development of foreign trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation with foreign countries, rational utilization of the advantages of the international division of labour and the possibilities of foreign economic ties in order to raise effectively national production.
