Abstract

Leo Panitch, a professor of political science at York University in Toronto and Sam Gindin, assistant to the president of the Canadian Automobile Workers' Union, visited the Soviet Union in June 1990 at the invitation of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR's Institute of the USA and Canada, acting in cooperation with the Automobile and Farm Machinery Industries Workers' Union.
