Abstract

The article is devoted to a new phenomenon in modern urban construction, a complex residential area located on a vacant plot in close proximity to the largest city. The article is informative and tells how one of these residential areas was designed. It also dwells upon the structure of the residential group, the goals and objectives that were set in the design process. The article reveals the methodology of design work in the mode of the development business project. This information will help to better understand this new urban phenomenon, the value of which is difficult to predict. Will the new residential area, equal in the population of a large city, draw resources from the metropolis or is it the growth of agglomeration associated with the further modernization of Russian society and the growth of its urbanization?
