Abstract

The concept of the Dort Kapi is central to the basic education curriculum of Alevism. This training program, which takes the human from its most crude form and makes it perfect, consists of four main steps. The names of these main steps bear the names of Seriat, Tarikat, Marifet and Hakikat. The concept of Dort Kapi has been the subject of numerous studies so far. Numerous studies that directly and indirectly investigate this curriculum have shed light on only certain aspects of the subject. Until now, there has not been a orderly study focusing on the resources of this concept as a whole. This study focuses on the main structure of the Dort Kapi concept and examines the sources of this structure.In this study, the answers to the questions of whether the Dort Kapi have a basis in the verses of the Quran, whether they are direct or indirect, if any, are sought. In the hadith and command books, it is investigated whether there are texts that lay the groundwork for this concept. In this study, it is also examined whether it is possible to base the concept of the Dort Kapi on the Quran, the commands of the Prophet Muhammad and the Twelve Imams.The main sources used in the study are hadith books containing the commands of the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad and the Twelve Imams. In addition, internal texts describing the concept of Dort Kapi in Alevism were also consulted.The main thesis of this article is that the concept of Dort Kapi in Alevism was built with Islamic bases. The concept of the Dort Kapi is that the Qur'an- The Holy Quran and the Prophet Muhammad and the Twelve Imams are structured by reference.
