Factors governing the accuracy of direct blood pressure measurement are considered, and the order of magnitude of the errors to be expected is estimated. Errors in indirect measurements as compared with simultaneous direct measurements are examined and an attempt is made to understand the sources of these errors; finally a possible approach the improving; the accuracy of indirect measurement of Blood Pressure is suggested.KeywordsInternal PressureRadial ArteryBrachial ArteryDiastolic PressureCuff PressureThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
