Abstract

While practices in the construction industry emphasize the use of modern-day management concepts, it was felt that conventional wisdom remains relevant in today's competitive business environment. The objective of this paper is to examine how lessons drawn from the Bible may be applied to achieve effective construction project management. It will, firstly, examine the project management approach as a procurement mode within the industry and how good teamwork is critical for achieving effectiveness. The paper then analyses team ministry within the context of the church and how biblical wisdom, as applied to effective team ministry, is equally relevant for construction project management.
