Abstract
SUMMARY A recent project to locate sources for the history of science in Oxford has uncovered a large quantity of manuscripts, printed books, photographs, and other materials that were previously little known, This has helped to strengthen the view that there was - contrary to earlier assessments - a great deal of interest in science within the University during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The Clarendon Laboratory, in particular, was found to have a rich collection of source materials for the history of Oxford physics, and its holdings are summarized. The Department of Physiology and the Forestry Institute have significant archives, and smaller repositories have also been listed.
