Abstract
ABSTRACT The problem of keeping a comprehensive, up-to-date list of suppliers for books and serials has been an issue for Slavic librarians ever since the collapse of the Soviet Union. This column piece begins by discussing the evolution of the problem and how Slavic librarians have attempted to address it, and it finishes with a description of the latest solution: the new, collaborative online database Sources for Slavic & East European Library Materials, developed under the auspices of the American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies (AAASS).
