Abstract
Source text is a term inevitably involved so long as translation is concerned. The form of source text and its relationship with the target text is very much subject to the way translation is conducted. Based on an analysis of stable versus unstable text, the source- target relationships as well as the ways source text offer information, source text has been herein revisited and destablized as dynamic rather than static, a combination of texts instead of a single one. It is argued that what source text can offer is a broad spectrum of relatable information.
