Abstract
Diamond growth from ethylene/acetylene + hydrogen gas mixture has been simulated. Deposition of carbon-containing species is analyzed under different conditions. It is shown that variation of the carbon-hydride composition of the initial mixture in the experiments can clarify the role of ethane and acetylene contribution to the diamond growth process.
