Abstract
Following on from her description of the general use of ultrasound in cancer diagnosis in the March issue of CNP (Dixon 2006), Anne-Marie Dixon describes the use of medical ultrasound in the diagnosis and management of breast disease. In addition to helping nurses understand image findings presented at multidisciplinary team meetings, the article should also enable them to offer more accurate counselling and support for patients as they undergo imaging investigations
