Abstract

The temperature dependences of the velocity of the longitudinal acoustical waves, propagating along x, y, z axes of a hexagonal structure of a high temperature ferroelastic-superionic LiKSO 4 crystal were measured in the temperature range between 300 and 930 K, including the commensurate and incommensurate modulated phases. The pronounced hysteresis, spreading over all the studied range T > T c , is discovered for the wave, propagating along the y-axis.
