Abstract

A macroscopic Lagrangian description of a dissipation of the spin degrees of freedom of isotropic disordered magnets is considered. Studies of possible modes of damped spin waves in homogeneous and inhomogeneous spin glasses are carried out. The formalism is found to describe experimentally-observable magneto-acoustic effects: a softening and an attenuation of the sound waves in different types of spin glasses.
