Abstract
There are many copy machines in our office rooms for hard copies of our written materials. To get the outputs, we frequently meet chance to hear unwanted sound from the copy machine. What we want is the hard copy of some articles and not for the unwanted sound emitted from the copy machine. For the solution of reduction of our unpleasant sensation, the trial treatments for improvement of our sensation are conducted. This paper shows the relation between the treatment of sound and subjective results for explaining the cause and results. The keys to reduce unpleasantness are to reduce the duration of the decaying part of the sound in question and to reduce the peak level of the sound. It is also effective if we could be able to extend the time interval of the adjacent peaks.
