Abstract

This study was designed and made to detect level of maternal attachment and social support perception of the secondary school students living in a socially disadvantaged region.Designed as a descriptive relational screening model, the study group consisted of 211 secondary school students to have attended at the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades of a village affiliated to Silvan District of Diyarbakir Province. A general information form prepared by the researchers and “Experiences in Close Relations Inventory II- Middle Childhood Period-Mother Form” and revised form of “Multi-Dimensional Perceived Social Support Scale” were used as data collection tool in the scope of the study. Study data analyses were made using SPSS 21.0 package program.
