Abstract

Sorption properties of new nitrogen-containing wood-based ion exchangers with respect to gold(III) ions were examined in relation to the metal ion concentration in solution, pH of medium, and sorption temperature and time. The rate-limiting steps in the process were identified. The mechanism of sorption of aurate ions from solutions was considered in relation to their acidity.
