Abstract

Sorption–desorption processes during interaction of hot hydrogen atoms with metals are considered. Non-activated penetration and primary accommodation of incident atoms at on-the-surface and under-the-surface sites was considered. Desorption of ad- and absorbed atoms was supposed due to recombination of atoms from both the same and different sites. Analytical expressions for concentrations were obtained and contribution of various factors analyzed.
