Abstract

1. The sorption kinetics of water vapor on the granulated molecular sieve Linde 5A have been studied in the region of high coverages at the temperatures 0 and 30°. It has been found that the diffusion coefficients change with the amount adsorbed and attain a maximum near the amount adsorbed 11–12 mM/g. 2. The mechanism of water vapor transfer in granulated zeolites has been discussed and an approximate formula relating the diffusion coefficient in the granules to that in the zeolite crystals has been proposed.
