Abstract

Blends of polycarbonate and polyarylate were prepared and characterized by differential scanning calorimetry and a dynamic mechanic measurements techni two glass transition temperatures suggesting immiscibility. Sorption and transport measurements were made at 25 °C and up to approximately atmospheri All the obtained data are described well with the dual sorption dual-mobility models developed for a gas-glassy-polymer system. The sorption and transp correlated with blend composition. The diffusion coefficient data are interpreted in terms of the partial immobilization model.
