Abstract
AbstractIn this work, a novel sorbitol‐based epoxy anti‐smudge coatings (EPs) system were developed with sorbitol epoxy resin (SE) as raw material, branched amino poly (dimethysiloxane) (PDMS‐NH2) as a liquid‐repellent agent and isophorone diamine as a curing agent. These coatings have excellent thermal stability. The resultant coatings with 0.5 wt% PDMS‐NH2 content incorporated are exhibited remarkable self‐cleaning performance, and has good liquid repellency to various liquids (water, fingerprint fluid, strong acid solution, cola, ink, hexadecane, pump oil, milk, corn oil, soy sauce, machine oil, and strong alkali solution), sliding down the coating surface and leaving no trace. Besides, these sorbitol‐based epoxy anti‐smudge coating system show highly transparency, excellent corrosion resistance, and excellent anti‐ink performance on different substrates. More strikingly, sorbitol‐based epoxy anti‐smudge coatings can be dyed into different colors without affecting its anti‐ink performance, indicating sorbitol‐based epoxy anti‐smudge coatings possessed practical application availability.
