Abstract
It is shown that multifractal chaos observed at nuclear giant resonance belongs to the class of critical multifractal processes with infinite critical temperature. Furthermore, numerical value of multifractal critical index of the isovector transitions at the nuclear giant resonance turns out to be remarkably close to that corresponding to the universal critical chaos generated by the map $\ensuremath{\varphi}(x)=1\ensuremath{-}{\mathrm{ax}}^{2}$ via the Feigenbaum scenario.
