Abstract
Frequency domain techniques for computer-aided design of multivariable feedback systems are now well established in the form of several, apparently distinct, design techniques. It is shown that a unified design structure can be developed based on the theoretical concepts of precompensation, eigenvalue approximation and permissible, constant, input/output transformations.
