Abstract
The reaction of diazomethane with cis-3-methoxy-18-nor-1,3,5(10),9(11)-estratetraene-15,17-dione leads to a mixture of isomeric enol ethers (II) and (III), which were separated by fractional crystallization. By a number of investigational transformations the structure of the enol ether (III) was proved.
